About us

We are a specialist resource within Region Sörmland based on specific knowledge of permanent disabilities and their consequences in everyday life. Our mission involves investigating and providing habilitative interventions to children, adolescents, and adults with permanent disabilities such as mobility impairments, multiple disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders. The habilitation reception in Eskilstuna is newly renovated and beautifully located at Odlarvägen 3, next to Mälarsjukhuset. We work from a consolidated reception in interdisciplinary teams divided into child, youth, and adult teams with the patient at the center. We offer you a fun, stimulating, and developing job both individually and in a team. This position is permanent at the reception starting in the adult team. Together with others in the team, you will work to provide the patient with the best conditions to live an active and independent life.

Your tasks

The work includes providing advice and counseling support to the patient, relatives, and others involved in the patient's network, as well as providing information about other community services. You will work with conversations (individually or in groups), education, coordination, information, and guidance. The work also includes close collaboration with other relevant entities in the community and within the region, such as the Social Insurance Agency and psychiatry.

Your competence

For the position, it is a requirement that you are a licensed health and medical care counselor. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities such as commitment, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team, as well as cooperating with other actors. Since you will be an important cog in the interdisciplinary team, it is important that you enjoy working with others and believe that the best results are achieved together.
